Women’s sizing guide
The lengths indicated for items such as tops or jackets always refer to the back length. This is measured from the neck to the hem. For dresses and skirts, the measurement is taken down the centre of the front, from the waist. For trousers, the outside leg length is measured from the waist to the hem.
The lengths indicated for classic trousers / trouser suits refer to the side seam length excluding the waistband. The lengths of all trendy trouser styles with contour waistband / grown-on waistband are listed as total lengths (including waistband).
For trousers which fit perfectly, it is essential to order the right length as well as the right size, which is why MADELEINE offers short sizes too. To make sure you order the right size for you, please check your measurements carefully.
Plus sizes
From around size 16 and upwards, we lengthen our garment styles proportionally, helping to disguise the common problem areas.
Petite sizes
For the smaller-built customer with size 8 or 10, we have proportionally reduced the width in line with the length, helping to maintain a flattering silhouette.
