  To grow cotton sustainably, less water was used to water the cotton plants – this is particularly important in arid regions. Higher yields support the cotton farmers and workers on the cotton plantations.   EIM stands for Environmental Impact Measuring. The EIM software can be used to measure the sustainability of an article, and the result is displayed using a traffic light system (red, green, yellow). EIM-tested articles have been manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner thanks to their water, chemical and energy-saving washing. The occupational health and safety of workers is also included in the assessment.
